Italian club Bologna FC must do without defender Nicola Legrottaglie for a month after the 28-year-old damaged his left thigh during Sunday's 2-0 defeat by Atalanta BC. Legrottaglie is on loan at Bologna from Juventus FC until the season's end.
RKC Waalwijk defender Jerold Promes will be sidelined for the rest of the Dutch league campaign with a serious knee injury. The 20-year-old centre-back tore a ligament in his left knee during the 3-1 reverse at FC Twente on 12 February. He faces surgery and then a long rehabilitation programme.
