The player, who will turn 29 on 2 July, has agreed a two-year contract with an option for a further season. He was most recently in Iran, but in 2003/04 played for PFC Slavia Sofia under current CSKA coach and compatriot Miodrag Jesic. FC Spartak Moskva are another of his former clubs.
Friday draw
On Friday, CSKA will find out their potential UEFA Champions League second qualifying round opponents on 26/27 June and 2/3 August. As seeds, they will avoid the likes of Celtic FC, RSC Anderlecht and, should they win through, holders Liverpool FC.
