Champions League ambition
The 32-year-old joined Braga ahead of the 2003/04 campaign from Clube Atlético Mineiro, and has played 19 games this season for the SuperLiga high-fliers. "I am very happy to remain with Braga because we are challenging for the title. I like the club and the town and I want to help the team secure a place in the Champions League," he said.
All to play for
With the top two progressing automatically to the group stage of the competition, and the third-placed side to the final qualifying round, Braga have much to play for. Currently they lie joint-third in the table with Boavista FC on 44 points, one behind FC Porto and four adrift of leaders SL Benfica.
