US Città di Palermo have signed Italy's Aimo Diana from UC Sampdoria in a deal that takes Christian Terlizzi and Massimo Bonanni in the opposite direction.

US Città di Palermo have signed Italian international right-winger Aimo Diana from UC Sampdoria in a deal that takes 26-year-old defender Christian Terlizzi and 24-year-old midfielder Massimo Bonanni in the opposite direction.

World Cup omission
Diana, 28, has played 12 times for Italy but did not make the squad for the FIFA World Cup in Germany. Last season, his third with Sampdoria, he scored six goals in 29 Serie A appearances for the Genoa club. During his career, he has also been on the books of Brescia Calcio, Hellas-Verona FC, Parma FC and Reggina Calcio.
