Article body
Serie A newcomers Torino Calcio have parted company with coach Giovanni De Biasi three days before the start of the season and appointed Alberto Zaccheroni in his place.
Experienced man
De Biasi, 50, led the Granata to promotion last term but a series of poor pre-season results convinced the Turin club to make a change. The 53-year-old Zaccheroni made his name at Udinese Calcio before joining AC Milan and guiding the Rossoneri to the Scudetto in 1999. Zaccheroni, who has reportedly signed a two-year contract, has also coached S.S. Lazio and FC Internazionale Milano. Torino begin their Serie A campaign against Parma FC on Sunday.
