Bolton sign Dzemaili and Cid

FC Zürich midfielder Blerim Dzemaili and FC Girondins de Bordeaux defender Gérald Cid have agreed to join Premiership side Bolton Wanderers FC in the summer.

Exciting prospect
The 20-year-old Swiss international Dzemaili, a defensive midfielder, has caught the eye with a Zürich team who are on course to land a second successive Swiss title. He has accepted a two-year contract at Bolton, with manager Sam Allardyce saying: "I am excited by the prospect of working with Blerim next season."

Young defender
Meanwhile, French centre-back Cid, 23, has secured a four-year deal with Bolton, with Allardyce calling him "one of the best young defenders in France". Bolton are fifth in the Premiership and are eager to return to European competition next season.
