Sergio García has received an early birthday present by signing a two-year contract extension with Real Zaragoza, committing him to the club until summer 2011.

Prolific partnership
The former FC Barcelona forward, who turns 24 on Saturday, has had an excellent season acting as foil to the prolific Diego Milito at fifth-placed Zaragoza. His six goals in 33 Primera División games have helped the 1994/95 UEFA Cup Winners' Cup winners to the verge of UEFA Cup qualification. Sergio García joined Zaragoza from Barcelona in the summer of 2005 following a loan spell at Levante UD.
