Sevilla FC have announced the arrival of defender Mouhamadou Dabo from AS Saint-Etienne on a free transfer after the 23-year-old agreed terms on a four-year deal with the Liga side.

Adept at playing on either flank, the former France Under-21 international arrives at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán having made 116 league appearances for Les Verts. The Senegalese-born full-back will undergo a medical in Spain on Monday before penning a deal with the Copa del Rey champions.

The Liga side can also count on the services of 22-year-old winger Diego Capel for the next four seasons after the Spanish international signed a three-year contract extension that ties him to the club until 30 June 2014. Sevilla earned a UEFA Champions League play-off round place for 2010/11 having finished fourth in the Liga.
