Celtic FC have secured the services of Polish international striker Paweł Brożek on loan from Trabzonspor AŞ for the remainder of the season.
Celtic confirmed news of the deal after beating Falkirk FC 3-1 to reach the Scottish League Cup final on Sunday. Brożek, 28, who has made 32 appearances for UEFA EURO 2012 co-hosts Poland, passed a medical on Monday. Celtic have the option to make his loan permanent in the summer.
"This is a great move and I can't wait to get started," said the former Wisła Kraków forward. "Celtic showed more determination than any other club to sign me and now I want to repay their faith. I knew before I signed about the club's history, and the kind of pressure to win every game. The history, the fans, the team and the determination of the club to bring me here were all reasons why I came."
Manager Neil Lennon added: "He's a goalscorer and he'll hopefully give the squad a bit of a boost. We're hoping he'll come in really hungry, he's had a good record in Poland. Things haven't gone his way in Turkey but he's got the EUROs coming up so he'll be very motivated to book a place for the Polish squad."
