Parma FC have parted company with coach Franco Colomba following Saturday's 5-0 defeat at FC Internazionale Milano with former Italy boss Roberto Donadoni coming in as his replacement.
Colomba, 56, took over last April and helped the Ducali to avoid relegation, but the former Bologna FC coach paid for a disappointing run of results – Parma have not won since 20 November. Four points from their last six games leaves them 15th in Serie A, seven points above the relegation zone.
The 48-year-old Donadoni, who coached Italy at UEFA EURO 2008, had been without a job since being sacked by Cagliari Calcio in the summer. The former AC Milan midfielder, who has signed a contract until June 2013, has also coached Genoa CFC, AS Livorno Calcio and SSC Napoli.
