Olympique Lyonnais are the outright Ligue 1 leaders following a 2-1 victory at ES Troyes AC.

Lyon started 2013 level on points with Paris Saint-Germain FC and Olympique de Marseille at the summit, but are now out on their own following PSG's goalless draw against AC Ajaccio on Friday. Though Rémi Garde's side took an early lead against Troyes thanks to captain Maxime Gonalons' header, the hosts drew level through Benjamin Nivet seven minutes before half-time.

Lyon found a winner with a quarter-hour remaining, 19-year-old defender Samuel Umtiti turning in at the second time of asking to register his first senior goal.

FC Girondins de Bordeaux, meanwhile, leapfrogged Stade Rennais FC into fourth, six points shy of Marseille, courtesy of a 2-0 triumph in Brittany. Bordeaux extended their unbeaten league run to six games thanks to second-half goals from Yoan Gouffran and Henri Saivet.

Elsewhere, title holders Montpellier Hérault SC were 2-0 victors against FC Lorient, Stade Brestois 29 won by the same scoreline at Évian Thonon Gaillard FC, and bottom side AS Nancy-Lorraine began life under Patrick Gabriel with a 2-2 draw against LOSC Lille.
