Article body
SV Ried have furthered their commitment to giving young players a chance by signing striker Andreas Lasnik from the Austrian third division.
Promising talent
The promising 18-year-old has been picked up from lowly FC Koflach. Ried, eighth in the Austrian Bundesliga, tend to focus on nurturing homegrown talent rather than looking for cheaper foreign players.
Only two non-Austrians
"With this transfer we continue our policy of looking for young Austrian players," said general manager Helmut Slezak. There are 24 players in Ried’s squad, with just two non-Austrians among them - the Russian midfield player Rashid Rachimov and Belgian striker Christophe Lauwers.
