AEK Larnaca FC crashed out of the Cypriot Cup with a penalty shoot-out defeat against Enosis Neon Paralimni FC.

Kamesch saves Enosis
AEK hauled back the 2-0 deficit from the first leg of the tie through goals from Marios Demetriou and a penalty from Stelios Stylianides, but could not break down Enosis in extra-time and paid for their missed opportunities in the penalty shoot-out. Enosis goalkeeper Pavel Kamesch proved to be the hero of the day, saving spot-kicks from Boban Kitanov and Kokos Elias as AEK lost the shoot-out 3-2.

Agony for AEP
AEP Paphos FC won 2-1 against Apollon Limassol FC, but paid the price for failing to score in the first leg of the tie – a 1-0 win for Apollon – and went out of the cup on the away goals rule. A 2-0 win at the Antonis Papadopoulos stadium saw Anorthosis Famagusta FC earn a 3-1 aggregate victory against Olympiakos Nicosia FC, while a 4-1 win for Ethnikos Achnas FC saw them earn a 6-3 aggregate win against Division A strugglers Doxa Katokopia FC.

AEL stride through
League leaders AEL Limassol FC had a trouble-free afternoon, winning 5-1 away at lower league Ermis Aradippos FC to earn an 8-1 aggregate victory. Ethnikos Ashias FC progressed to the next round of the cup despite a 0-0 draw away to division B side AEZ Zakakiou FC thanks to winning the first leg 2-0.
