Pichorner seals Salzburg switch

SV Austria Salzburg have signed midfield player Jürgen Pichorner from first division LASK Linz.

SV Austria Salzburg have completed the signing of midfield player Jürgen Pichorner from first division club LASK Linz.

One-year-contract
The 24-year-old has agreed a one-and-a-half-year contract with the option to extend it for two more years and will be hoping to prove his ability with a move the Casino stadium. After starting his career with Spittal in 1997, he joined Linz and made almost 100 first-team appearances for the club.

Sixth arrival
Pichorner is the sixth new player that the three-time Austrian Bundesliga champions have signed during the winter break. Defender Thomas Hickersberger arrived from VfB Admira Wacker Mödling and striker Branko Radovanovic was signed from Yugoslavian club FK Beograd, while midfield players Gábor Bukran, Igor Sekic and Gernot Messner also joined the club in recent weeks.
