Victory saw Fenerbahçe SK keep in touch with leaders Galatasaray SK on a day of many 1. Lig goals.

Fenerbahçe SK kept in touch with league leaders Galatasaray SK with a hard-fought 2-1 victory at Yozgatspor on Saturday.

Disaster for Diallo
Israeli international Haim Revivo broke the deadlock for Fenerbahçe at the second attempt after his first effort had come back off home goalkeeper Saliou Diallo, but there was an element of fortune about the visitors' second. After 76 minutes, Milan Rapaic's cross caused all sorts of confusion for Diallo who could only help the ball into his own net.

Late goal for Yozgatspor
The hosts made their opponents sweat towards the end with Mehmet Simsek crashing home a free-kick after 86 minutes but Fenerbahçe held on to move within seven points of Galatasaray, who beat Malatyaspor 1-0 on Friday.

Ankaragucu roar back
MKE Ankaragücü kept up the pressure in fourth place by beating Göztepe 4-2. A goal down at half-time to Mustafa Ozkan's 32nd-minute goal, the capital side fought back after the break with Ihsan Ozsarac and Huseyin Kartal swiftly putting them into the lead. Ersen Martin levelled for the visitors to set up a dramatic last 20 minutes. Niyazi Guney struck back for Ankaragücü before Kartal grabbed his second in the closing stages.

Alkan's heroics fire Bursaspor
A goal from Ender Alkan two minutes from time gave Bursaspor a 3-2 win at Diyarbakirspor as he directed Mustafa Er's deft pass beyond goalkeeper Senol Karagol to settle a pulsating encounter. There were also five goals as Denizlispor secured an excellent 3-2 win against Antalyaspor. The visitors led 2-1 at one stage and had coach Giray Bulak sent off in the 70th minute.
