FC Dinamo Bucuresti have bought striker Ionel Danciulescu for €400,000 from city rivals FC Steaua Bucuresti.
Opportunist striker
The 25-year-old has signed a contract that will keep him at Dinamo until June 2005. Steaua had tried to negotiate a deal with FC Rapid Bucuresti but, after failing to agree terms and with Friday's transfer deadline looming, they accepted Dinamo's offer.
Second spell with Dinamo
Danciulescu, who started his career at FC Electroputere Craiova in 1993, has played 224 Divizia A games and scored 83 goals. He has played for Dinamo before, back in 1995, but also has a habit of scoring goals against them - netting eight in ten games down the years.
Time in Turkey
Danciulescu's first spell with Dinamo ended when he moved to Turkish side FC Altay Izmir, where he played just seven games. He then went to Steaua, where he played 129 games and scored 53 goals, winning the championship twice, in 1998 and 2001.
