FC Dynamo Kyiv have promised to crack down on the hooligans who shamed their club's name.

FC Dynamo Kyiv have promised to crack down on the supporters who shamed their club's name with acts of hooliganism and vandalism this month.

'Vandals will be countered'
The Professional Football League (PFL) has warned Dynamo about the behavior of their fans after trouble at their last two league matches, against FC Karpaty Lviv and FC Metalurh Donetsk. Dynamo responded by promising: "The vandals will be countered."
Club spokesman Olexandr Lipenko said: "It is the first time our fans have been involved in such a scandal. We will not leave it without acting. It looks like our previous efforts were not enough."

Synagogue attacked
In a black week for Ukrainian football, Dynamo fans first went on the rampage in Lviv on 8 April, smashing seats at the Karpaty stadium and clashing with local police after the match. Worse was to come in their next match against Donetsk last weekend. A group of about 50 Dynamo fans threw stones at a synagogue and attacked several worshippers. The police arrested a number of fans, who are said to have instigated the trouble and are now under investigation.
