Lillestrøm SK captain Torgeir Bjarmann has been ruled out for the rest of the season after breaking his cheekbone.
Two months out
Bjarmann collided with team-mate Rikhardur Dadason during yesterday's match against Vålerenga Fotball and has been told he faces up to two months on the sidelines. "He won't be playing again this season," said Lillestrøm coach Arne Erlandsen.
Perilous position
It is a huge blow for the club, who have struggled to emulate their form of last season and lie perilously close to the relegation places. "He'll be sorely missed," said veteran defender Gunnar Halle. "Torgeir has played just about every game for the last 10-15 years, and he's always been important both at the back and up front."
Two-point cushion
With five games remaining in the Tippeliga, Lillestrøm have a two-point lead over third-from-bottom SK Brann.
