Coach Nikos Anastopoulos insisted the forward could stay, but Sypniewski, who had regularly missed training, said he did not want to get paid without playing.

Summer move
Sypniewski had moved to Greece in the summer following his release on a free transfer by Wisla Kraków, who had signed him from RKS Radomsko. He played for Poland against Cameroon last year.
