Sevilla complete last-minute switch

The 19-year-old wing back flew into Spain today after the two clubs agreed an initial six-month loan deal for the player. The Primera División team have paid €526,000 up front and will have the option of completing a permanent €1.4m move in the summer.

Last-minute manoeuvre
Sevilla registered Daniel Alves with the Spanish authorities, the Liga de Fútbol Profesional, minutes before the end of the winter transfer window last Friday. At that stage, however, the two parties had not decided upon a method of payment. Daniel Alves recently starred for Brazil in the South American Under-20 Championship.
