Birmingham grab Grønkjær

'Very impressed'
Grønkjær has signed a two-year contract with the option of a further 12 months. The 26-year-old told Birmingham's official website: "I have been really impressed by [manager] Steve Bruce and his new structure at Birmingham and I am really looking forward to being featured in his plans."

'Excellent move'
Grønkjær, who previously played for Aalborg BK and AFC Ajax, had been linked with Spanish club Sevilla FC. However, a statement from his agents, Jon Smith and Vincenzo Morabito, said: "We feel this is an excellent move for him as Birmingham are building a strong squad to challenge for the major titles."
