The new plan has been developed with support from the UEFA Grow programme, which offers national associations tailored off-field support, and builds on the recent successes of Sammarinese football.
Last season, San Marino's men's national team gained promotion to League C of the UEFA Nations League, with the federation also staging the UEFA Regions' Cup finals in 2025 – its first ever finals as a solo host.
The FSGC's mission is to "provide a lifelong, high-quality, accessible football journey for anyone who wants to be part of and grow with San Marino football", and focuses on inclusion and equality and the development of women's football, alongside the ongoing growth of its national teams.
"For the next four-year cycle we have set our declared objectives even higher," said FSGC president Marco Tura. "We know that to reach them, we’ll need to work hard and row in the same direction – but I believe we have the capabilities to achieve results that meet the expectations of both ourselves and the Sammarinese football system."
