UEFA Cup qualifiers FC Basel 1893 have signed teenage midfielder Adelson Cabral from Swiss second division outfit FC Lausanne-Sport on a free transfer.

UEFA Cup qualifiers FC Basel 1893 have signed midfielder Adelson Cabral from Swiss second division side FC Lausanne-Sport.

Dual nationality
The 18-year-old, who made 23 appearances for Lausanne last season, has joined Basel on a free transfer after agreeing a three-year deal. Cabral hails from West African island Cape Verde but has dual nationality and is a member of the Switzerland Under-19 team.
