AC Milan winger Serginho will be out of action for at least three weeks after twisting his left ankle during Sunday's 2-1 win against Piacenza FC.
Scan all-clear
The Brazilian international was forced off the field after just 17 minutes of the victory, which put Milan top of Serie A. Serginho was taken to hospital where he underwent a scan which revealed no fractures – but the 31-year-old will be unable to train for the best part of a month.
Milan hopeful
The club are nevertheless hopeful that Serginho will be fit in time for Milan’s next UEFA Champions League Group C match, against FC Lokomotiv Moskva on 19 February.
