'Four to six weeks'
Carrière was injured during Saturday's 1-0 league win at OGC Nice, and tests last night revealed he had torn a thigh muscle. "He will be missing for four to six weeks," a club statement said.
No chance for Porto
The 30-year-old will certainly be unavailable for the home game against Porto next Wednesday, when the French champions and league leaders will bid to overturn a 2-0 deficit. He is also unlikely to be fit for any semi-final first leg, scheduled for 20/21 April, should Lyon progress. French international Carrière has made six Champions League appearances this season, most as a substitute.
