Inter relief over Martins

FC Internazionale Milano received positive news about the injury suffered by striker Obafemi Martins.

Cartilage injury
The 19-year-old Nigerian was forced to leave the pitch during the first half of the game with a suspected fractured fibula. However, a scan today revealed Martins had suffered no break, but rather injured cartilage.

Sidelined
Martins will require several days' rest before starting rehabilitation. Inter have not revealed how long he will be sidelined for and have not discounted the possibility he could return in time for the UEFA Champions League visit to Valencia CF on 20 October.
