Celsinho given Sporting chance

Sporting Clube de Portugal have completed the signing of FC Lokomotiv Moskva's Brazilian midfielder Celsinho on a five-year contract.

The 18-year-old, who scored once in just four league appearances during a one-year stay in the Russian capital, completed a medical before agreeing personal terms with Sporting. He had said upon joining Lokomotiv from Associação Portuguesa de Desportos: "It will be a very worthy experience. I'm not ready to go directly to a big European club, although if I adapt well I will stay in Russia." Sporting, who begin their UEFA Champions League campaign in the group stage, started the new Liga season in style at the weekend by defeating A. Académica de Coimbra 4-1.
