Milan still searching for home help

Massimo Oddo says AC Milan are "getting used" to drawing at home but knows the Rossoneri "will not have to change much" to get back to winning ways.

Right-back Massimo Oddo concedes AC Milan are "getting used" to drawing at home in Serie A but is confident the Rossoneri "will not have to change much" to return to winning ways at San Siro.

Domestic trouble
Saturday's goalless stalemate with Juventus was Milan's seventh home league match of the season and their fifth draw, while Empoli FC and AS Roma have left San Siro with maximum points collected from hosts who have scored just three home goals in Serie A. That contrasts sharply with Milan's form in the UEFA Champions League, with SL Benfica and FC Shakhtar Donetsk both beaten on their visits to Italy, and Oddo is convinced those results will soon be replicated in domestic football. "Against Juventus we were a bit tired after playing a difficult Champions League game a few days before," the 31-year-old Italian international said. "However, we had good opportunities to score and would have won with a bit of luck. Unfortunately we are starting to get used to drawing at home, but we have to keep playing as we are doing and the victories will come."

'San Siro jinx'
Victory against Celtic FC on Tuesday would secure first place in UEFA Champions League Group D, and Milan striker Alberto Gilardino, 25, believes a win could have wider implications, saying: "We want to end our San Siro jinx and beating Celtic could be a good thing for the domestic league. We were very disappointed not to have earned three points against Juve but the pitch was heavy and this is not a good thing for a technical side like Milan. However, we're in good form and want to beat Celtic to prepare ourselves in the best possible way to win the [FIFA] Club World Club in Tokyo."
