Fourth injury
The Dutchman was injured after a challenge from Quique Álvarez in the victory against RC Recreativo de Huelva and will now miss league games against RCD Espanyol, RC Deportivo La Coruña, Valencia CF and Sevilla FC as well as Wednesday's UEFA Champions League first knockout round decider against AS Roma. The 24-year-old has been plagued by injuries since joining Madrid from Chelsea FC in the summer, playing just 12 league games this term although he has managed five UEFA Champions League appearances. This is his fourth injury lay-off this season.
