Anorthosis feat gives Ketsbaia hope

Anorthosis Famagusta FC coach Temuri Ketsbaia will be looking forward to today's UEFA Champions League draw after his side beat SK Rapid Wien on Wednesday.

'Deserved victory'
Ioannis Skopelitis kicked off a memorable night for the Cypriot title-holders with the opening goal after 34 minutes, before Lukasz Sosin's second-half double left the visitors with a mountain to climb in Austria next week. "A big congratulations needs to go out to my players for their great performance and deserved victory," said Ketsbaia, who led Anorthosis past Trabzonspor to the third qualifying round in 2005/06. "I don't feel we were in any danger against them. It's an even better victory because Rapid are already under way in their own league and ours has yet to start."

'Nothing is over'
The former Georgian international was quick to point out that his team still have work to do, however. "I saw Rapid in their last two league games and we discovered some weaknesses which the players exploited today, but it's wrong to judge them on one game," he explained. "They are still a good side and we need to take them seriously in the second leg. Nothing is over. This is just the first game. We still have another game in Austria and we need to prepare for that. Our lead is deserved and we're in a strong position, but we mustn't forget that the tie is not over."
