Skopelitis probes Olympiacos weakness

Midfielder Ioannis Skopelitis says Anorthosis Famagusta FC would be well-placed to profit from a low moment for Olympiacos CFP should the sides meet in the next round.

'Feeling strong'
Temuri Ketsbaia's side lead 3-0 from the first leg of their second qualifying round tie against SK Rapid Wien, so are on course to play Olympiacos for a group-stage place. Skopelitis said: "We are only looking towards the return game against Rapid, then we'll think about Olympiacos. We are feeling strong at the moment and unless we play very badly we surely can't concede four against Rapid."

Right moment
Former Egaleo FC player Skopelitis keeps an eye on football in his native Greece and suggests a possible third qualifying round tie against Olympiacos would come at the right time for Anorthosis. "The draw could have been worse although we are still playing against a big club," the 30-year-old said. "What is to our advantage is the fact things are not all that good at the moment at Olympiacos.

'Olympiacos are beatable'
"Their fans have seen rivals Panathinaikos [FC] make big signings this summer and they are not too happy that their team have not followed suit," he continued. "Olympiacos are beatable, especially if they have a bad night. Saying that, they have the second leg at home and we all know the [Georgios] Karaiskakis Stadium is one of the most impressive and intimidating grounds in Europe."
