Cypriot champions Anorthosis Famagusta FC have unveiled former Real Madrid CF midfielder Sávio as they prepare for their UEFA Champions League third qualifying round first leg against Olympiacos CFP.
Prolific international
The 34-year-old Brazilian midfielder made 12 league appearances last season as Levante UD were relegated from Spain's Primera División and scored eight times in 25 internationals for his country. Sávio was in Vienna to see Anorthosis seal their progress in the UEFA Champions League with a 4-3 aggregate success against SK Rapid Wien and they now face their Greek opponents at the Antonis Papadopoulos Stadium in Larnaca on Wednesday.
European goal
"I have experience of playing in big games and I still believe that I have the same pace and imagination when I'm playing," said the former Real Zaragoza and Real Sociedad de Fútbol schemer.
