Pedro ruled out of Swiss trips

Pedro Rodríguez will miss Spain's UEFA European Under-21 Championship play-off with Switzerland and FC Barcelona's UEFA Champions League trip to FC Basel 1893 being ruled out for a month with a thigh muscle tear.

Four weeks out
The 21-year-old was injured while in training with Spain for the two-legged tie on Saturday and Tuesday and has been ruled out for four weeks. Not only will the right-sided attacker be unable to play in Aarau and Lorca for a place in the U21 finals in Sweden next summer, but he will be unable to return to Switzerland for Barcelona's Group C fixture on 22 October. He made his UEFA Champions League group stage bow as a substitute in the Matchday 1 win against Sporting Clube de Portugal.
