Arsenal FC midfielder Denílson has been ruled out for another two months after what was thought to be a minor back strain has turned out to be a fracture.
Denílson blow
The 21–year-old has not played since being hurt during the 4-2 defeat at Manchester City FC on 12 September, after which Arsène Wenger said it was "a question of days" before the Brazilian would return. The manager confirmed in the press conference before Tuesday's UEFA Champions League visit of Olympiacos FC, however, that the injury was more serious than initially thought. "He has a small fracture in his back, and will be out for two months," said the Frenchman.
Bendtner out
Meanwhile, striker Nicklas Bendtner will also sit out the Olympiacos game after being involved in a car accident on Sunday. The 21-year-old was not seriously injured the incident, which occurred as he made his way to training. The Danish international scored Arsenal's first goal in the 3-2 win at R. Standard de Liège a fortnight ago
