Ligue 1 champions LOSC Lille Métropole have bolstered their defence with the acquisition of versatile full-back Laurent Bonnart from AS Monaco FC.
Bonnart, 31, leaves Monaco following the club's relegation and has signed a two-year deal with the French double winners. "It's a pleasure to come here," he said. "I am starting a new chapter in my career and I aim to give everything to fulfil LOSC's ambitions." The former Le Mans UC 72 defender had joined the principality outfit from Olympique de Marseille – where he claimed the 2010 Ligue 1 title – last summer.
Lille, who lifted their first double in 65 years last term, have already signed Marko Baša, Dimitri Payet, Ronny Rodelin, Benoît Pedretti and Vincent Enyeama this close season. They will learn their UEFA Champions League group stage fate on 25 August.
