As Zinédine Zidane prepares for his 50th match in charge of Real Madrid, the UEFA Champions League Group F visit of Borussia Dortmund, UEFA.com looks back on his achievements since being appointed on 4 January.

Record winning streaks
The Frenchman picked the Merengues up from a 1-0 home loss to Atlético Madrid in late February. The Whites proceeded to win their next 16 top-flight fixtures, bettering the feat of Miguel Muñoz's side in 1960/61 and matching the Liga record, set by Josep Guardiola's Barcelona in 2010/11.

Unbeaten record
Zidane's men are one game away from equalling the club record of 34 matches without defeat, accomplished under Leo Beenhakker in 1989/90. If that hurdle is overcome, Madrid can set their sights on the all-time Spanish mark of 39, posted earlier this year by Luis Enrique's Barcelona.

Win percentage
Not everyone was convinced when Zidane took the Madrid reins, but he currently boasts a remarkable 79.4 win percentage in the league, his charges registering 27 victories from 34 games, drawing six and losing just one.

His total of 87 points from 34 games gives him more at this stage than any other coach in the league after the same number of matches, beating prestigious names such as Muñoz (W27 D4 L3), Guardiola (W27 D4 L3) and José Mourinho (W25 D5 L4).

A scoring machine
Given that he was one of the club's greatest entertainers, it should come as no surprise that Zidane's team have a knack of finding the net so often. Madrid have scored at least once in their last 26 league encounters, dating back to that Atlético reverse.

Collecting silverware
A little over four months after taking the reins at the Santiago Bernabéu and inheriting a squad in need of a lift in terms of results and attitude, Zidane was clutching the UEFA Champions League trophy at San Siro following a penalty shoot-out triumph against Atlético.

Zidane added the UEFA Super Cup in August and, with the FIFA Club World Cup to come later this month in Japan, he could yet collect a third trophy before the end of a memorable year.
