Marco Reus, Dortmund forward
It was a much more difficult match than the reverse fixture. They didn't give us as much room tonight. They sat very deep and gave us a decent runaround in the first half – we didn't create many chances. But we kept calm and after we scored our second we were in control.

Next up for us in the Champions League are Arsenal. We've gained a lot of confidence tonight and obviously we're planning on topping the group.

Jürgen Klopp, Dortmund coach
I decided to play the same team as against Bayern [on Saturday] because we said that we needed a response. I could see my players continuing where they had left off in the first half against Bayern.

In both games there were moments when Galatasaray were strong. If you don't defend adequately enough you can see their quality. We have defended very well against them and today we played even better football than in Istanbul [where Dortmund won 4-0]. In both games we were strong and deserved our win, but I don't know if it had to be by that margin. Galatasaray have quality, you could see that.

We are through now, but are not group winners yet. If you have that chance, you should take it. To go to London and try to somehow squeeze out a draw doesn't sound like such a good idea. We want to enjoy our win, even though we have a difficult league game coming up on Sunday [against VfL Borussia Mönchengladbach].

I was very pleased with the structure in our game. There was enough patience and after a great through ball we opened the scoring. This knack of scoring goals at the right time is something I would like to take from this game and conserve, but I know it will not always be possible. We wanted a result, but also development. I saw that and we will try to build on it.

Sebastian Kehl, Dortmund midfielder
Every Champions League match is a big occasion so we knew what we'd be up against tonight. It was important for us to perform well and win, what with our Bundesliga form at the moment. That made the success all the sweeter.

We've made big strides in the Champions League. Galatasaray didn't have many opportunities and I didn't even feel nervous at 2-1. I knew we'd get our chances and make the most of them. Now we only need a point against Arsenal to win the group. That's the target and obviously we're determined to achieve it.

Neven Subotić, Dortmund defender
Obviously we're delighted, especially the way we played. We played football from the first minute and, like in Istanbul, we just had a good feeling about it. They gave us the space we needed and when they did close us down, we were still clever enough to pass around and be creative.

It's seriously cool watching [Marco Reus] because he's one of these players you would have looked up to as a kid. He has such talent and none of us can learn it. Either you have it or you don't. I'll never have it – that's why I'm a defender. But it's wonderful to see. To have someone like that in the team is something we're all happy about.

Cesare Prandelli, Galatasaray coach
Some things did not work out the way we had hoped. Our passes did not penetrate their defence. We made too many individual errors. We have to keep improving and continue to work on eradicating those mistakes.

It is normal to be criticised when there is no success – that's part of the job. It is not an easy job, but we can take it. We try. Our goal is still winning the league and we continue to work on that, even in a situation such as this. We are leaving the pitch with heads held high. We will always give 100% on the pitch and continue to work hard.

If you see a pass from 50 metres leading to a goal, like it did today, I am not sure what to say about it. Is that supposed to be a mistake? We will still continue on our way.

Of course, the Europa League is also interesting, but so far I haven't mentioned it as we are still in the Champions League and have to think about giving everything in this competition. Before today's game we still had a chance and wanted to prove ourselves here, to try everything possible.

Obviously we're disappointed. We made some fatal errors but Dortmund weren't that good either. Unfortunately we let them play and we need to be asking questions about the way we approached the game and what we can do better.

We always believed we could get a result tonight but unfortunately we made too many errors and I contributed my part to the defeat as well with their third goal.

We have to take it one game at a time [with regard to qualification for the UEFA Europa League] but we're very ambitious as a club and as players. We have a good squad. We've got two more games to go, so we'll be doing our best to finish on a high.

Yasin Öztekin, Galatasaray midfielder
We didn't actually play too badly tonight, especially in the first half. The problem is that you can't afford to make even the slightest mistake in the Champions League because you'll be punished straight away. We made a number of errors which led to their goals.

It's a shame that our chances of reaching the knockout stages are more or less over, but it would have been difficult even if we'd won tonight. We've got two games left in the group and we want to qualify for the Europa League. We certainly won't be doing our opponents any favours.
