TUESDAY 27 OCTOBER

Robert Lewandowski (€12.0m) vs Lokomotiv Moskva (A)

Highlights: Bayern 4-0 Atlético

While Lewandowski's blank against Atlético on Matchday 1 was bad news for many #UCLfantasy managers, it was something of an anomaly that he wasn't involved in any of the four goals Bayern scored. That should not detract from the Pole's appeal on Matchday 2 though, as last season he boasted an incredible record when playing away from home in the UEFA Champions League. In Bayern’s three group games away from Munich, Lewandowski found the net an incredible eight times so his Fantasy owners would do well not to lose faith in the man who finished last season as the leading scorer in the competition with 15 goals.

Mohamed Salah (€11.5m) vs Midtjylland (H)

The 2018/19 UEFA Champions League winners ground out a narrow victory at Ajax on Matchday 1 and will be keen to build on that when the Danish debutants come to Anfield. The Reds’ well-publicised injuries in defensive areas will only enhance the need for their attacking players to perform, and in Salah they have one of the most reliable goalscorers in Europe. The Egyptian has hit plenty of goals in the early stages of the Premier League and it seems only a matter of time before he opens his UEFA Champions League account for the season. With his ownership relatively low for a player with such a high points ceiling, Fantasy managers who captain Salah could see a significant ranking boost.

WEDNESDAY 28 OCTOBER

Kylian Mbappé (€11.0m) vs İstanbul Başakşehir (A)

Watch Mbappé in action for Paris

After losing at home to Manchester United on Matchday 1, Paris will be determined to bounce back quickly in what is already shaping up to be a closely-fought group. This is the second season in a row that Paris have faced Turkish opposition away from home on Matchday 2, with the French side winning 1-0 at Galatasaray in the equivalent match last season. Mbappé owners will also be hoping that the Frenchman can repeat his displays from last season as he scored four times in Paris's three away group games, most notably a quick-fire hat-trick after coming off the bench in the second half against Club Brugge. With those performances still fresh in the memory, Mbappé represents a tempting captain option.

Erling Braut Haaland (€11.0m) vs Zenit (H)

As the only one of our armband suggestions to have scored on Matchday 1, many #UCLfantasy managers will turn to Haaland if their Tuesday skipper fails to deliver. And who can blame them, as the Norwegian – who made his name in #UCLfantasy last season on account of his stunning debut UEFA Champions League campaign – Is fast becoming one of the most reliable assets on the game. Despite a Haaland goal, Dortmund were undone by Lazio on Matchday 1 and need to get their campaign up and running with a win against Zenit. Should they turn in a positive display, expect Haaland – who scored in his opening five group stage appearances last season – to return significant #UCLfantasy points.
