With the league phase coming to a conclusion on Wednesday, UEFA.com takes a look at some form players who may prove lucrative for managers on #UCLfantasy, presented by Playstation.
Cody Gakpo (€7.5m) – Liverpool
Although there is a chance that Gakpo is rested for Liverpool's final league phase fixture at former club PSV Eindhoven, the Dutchman could prove an excellent differential forward should he start. Gakpo, who has scored against both Bayer Leverkusen and Real Madrid in the league phase, has five goals in his last six Premier League games, including two against Ipswich on Saturday. The 25-year-old is only two short of his total for the whole of 2023/24, and has five assists in all competitions this season.
Denzel Dumfries (€5.5m) – Inter
Despite being owned by only 4% of Fantasy managers, Dumfries has the potential to be one of the top-scoring defenders on Matchday 8 should he continue his recent form. The attacking full-back has five goals in his last seven appearances in all competitions, his strike at Lecce on Sunday making it 11 for club and country in 2024/25. In addition to his impressive attacking numbers, Dumfries also has clean sheet potential with Inter conceding just once in the league phase to date.
Phil Foden (€9.2m) – Manchester City
Manchester City face a decisive Matchday 8 contest at home to Club Brugge and Fantasy managers looking to invest in the 2023 champions may want to consider including Foden in their midfield with the England international scoring six goals in his last four league appearances. His 40 points mean Foden is also the highest Fantasy scorer in City's Champions League squad with three goals, an assist and two Player of the Match awards.
Ousmane Dembélé (€8.4m) – Paris Saint-Germain
Despite suffering from illness Dembélé made a huge impact off the bench against Manchester City on Matchday 7, his goal sparking a dramatic Paris turnaround. Together with his strike against Reims in Ligue 1 on Saturday, the Frenchman has now been on target in his last four appearances in all competitions and has eight goals in seven games. Owned by just 3% of Fantasy managers, Dembélé represents an in-form asset capable of significant returns when Paris visit Stuttgart.
Mateo Retegui (€5.5m) – Atalanta
Those looking for a differential forward who has been among the goals of late may consider Retegui, who has scored in his last four games in all competitions for a total of five goals. This includes the opener against Sturm Graz on Matchday 7, while the Serie A top scorer has three goals in his last two Champions League starts including a double against Young Boys on Matchday 5, although Atalanta have a testing Matchday 8 fixture at Barcelona.
