Slavia Praha's first game in the UEFA Champions League proper for six seasons pits them against Bodø/Glimt, who are making their competition debut.

Slavia Praha’s only previous match against a Norwegian team was a 2-2 draw at Viking in the 2005/06 UEFA Cup group stage.

Bodø/Glimt entered this season's Champions League in the play-offs, beating Sturm Graz 6-2 on aggregate (5-0 h, 1-2 a).
The Norwegian side reached last season's Europa League semi-finals, losing 1-5 on aggregate to eventual champions Tottenham. They were the first Norwegian side to reach the last four of a UEFA senior men's club competition.
Bodø/Glimt claimed their fourth Norwegian title in 2024 – all in the last five years.
