Portuguese Liga runners-up SC Braga have signed Brazilian midfielder Leandro Salino from CD Nacional on a three-year deal.
The 25-year-old Salino made 24 Liga appearances for Nacional last season, as well as eight in the UEFA Europa League, and will join up with Braga ahead of their UEFA Champions League bow. "When I knew Braga's proposal I didn't think twice before accepting it," said Salino, who arrived from Brazilian side Ipatinga FC midway through the 2008/09 campaign. "I had invitations from other clubs, some of them from Portugal, but I didn't hesitate in saying yes to Braga."
Salino's new club will enter the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round after finishing second – the highest placing in their history – five points adrift of champions SL Benfica.
