Summer woe
Miñambres has not appeared for Madrid's first team this season after sustaining a hairline fracture to one of the bones in his left foot during the pre-season tour of Asia. With few positive signs of recovery over the following months, the club's medical staff decided to operate, inserting a small screw into the bone in October.
Second operation
However, the 23-year-old's hopes of a comeback diminished when he damaged his left foot again, this time after falling awkwardly at home. Miñambres underwent further surgery on Wednesday and looks set to miss the rest of the campaign.
