Olympique Lyonnais have received mixed news on the injury front ahead of their UEFA Champions League round of 16 second leg at Real Madrid CF on 16 March.

Striker Lisandro has returned to full training following the hamstring problem that kept him out of the first meeting with Madrid – which finished 1-1 – but defender Cris has sustained a left thigh injury that leaves him doubtful for the return at the Santiago Bernabéu. Coach Claude Puel said: "A fortnight of rest was enough for Lisandro. He has trained well this week and will be in the squad."

The diagnosis for Cris is less promising with the Brazilian centre-back ruled out of Sunday's visit from AC Arles-Avignon. "We hope we can have him back next week," added Puel. "But it is a case of whether he recovers well." The 33-year-old has suffered with various injuries this season but was outstanding in the first leg against Madrid.
