Dorsin agrees Rosenborg move

Swedish UEFA European Under-21 Championship semi-finalist Mikael Dorsin has joined Rosenborg BK.

U21 disappointment
The 21-year-old was part of the Swedish U21 side that missed out on a place at the Olympic Games yesterday after losing 3-2 against Portugal in the third-place play-off at the UEFA European Under-21 Championship in Germany.

Djurgården departure
Dorsin left Swedish side Djurgårdens IF last summer to sign a one-year deal with French side RC Strasbourg. However, after an impressive start to the season he struggled to hold down a first-team place and when Strasbourg decided not to offer him a new deal Rosenborg were quick to act.

'Bright future'
"We've signed a very good player with a bright future," said the club's director of sports, Rune Brathseth. "This is very positive for us, and we've spent a lot of time concluding this deal. We believe that we've found a player that will give us a lot back and who will go straight into the starting eleven."

Five caps
Dorsin has been capped five times at senior international level but was not selected for UEFA EURO 2004™. Rosenborg enter next season's UEFA Champions League in the second qualifying round.
