Article body
Injury coincidence
Oshadogan is to undergo surgery on the left knee which sidelined him for much of last season. The 28-year-old Italian has a meniscus problem, having only just recovered from cruciate ligament damage. Meanwhile, Bernardi has the same injury and the 26-year-old has returned to his native Argentina for an operation.
Bernardi influence
Both players appeared in Monaco's 6-0 win against Slovenia's NK Gorica in the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round on Tuesday night. Bernardi was also a major figure in the principality team's run to the Champions League final last term, playing 12 games in the competition.
