Rapid Wien tie evokes glorious memories for Ajax

Hear from Louis van Gaal on Ajax's 1995 final victory over Milan at the Ernst-Happel Stadion, where the Dutch club will return for their third qualifying round tie against Rapid Wien.

"You never play at your best – the tension is too high," recalled Louis van Gaal as he told UEFA.com about how he led AFC Ajax to UEFA Champions League final glory in 1995.

Twenty years after their fourth and most recent European Cup triumph, at Vienna's Ernst-Happel Stadion, Ajax will journey to the Austrian capital again this month to play Rapid Wien in the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round.

Frank de Boer, an Ajax player that day in May 1995, will coach the Amsterdam club in the same arena in which an 18-year-old substitute named Patrick Kluivert scored the only goal of the contest against holders Milan.
