UEFA Champions League qualifiers FC Porto have signed midfielder Sandro from Portuguese Cup winners Vitória FC.
Portuguese Cup success
The 28-year-old has agreed a three-year deal with the Portuguese SuperLiga runners-up, ending a five-year spell in Setubal, which saw him score eight goals in 178 league appearances. He capped his time at the Do Bonfim stadium with a 2-1 win against SL Benfica in the Portuguese Cup final on 29 May.
Sandro, who has also played in Spain for UD Salamanca, Villarreal CF and Hércules CF, becomes the 2004 Champions League winners' second signing in a week following the arrival of Croatian striker Tomislav Šokota on a four-year contract from Benfica.
