Venta sustained a tear in his right thigh during Tuesday's first knockout round second leg against Rangers FC and had to be substituted at half-time. The 30-year-old, who has made four UEFA Champions League appearances this term, will be out for a month, sidelining him for the last-eight matches on 28/29 March and 4/5 April. Villarreal drew 1-1 with Rangers at El Madrigal to progress on away goals. Venta has also played 20 Primera División games in 2005/06.
