Rüştü completes Fenerbahçe return

Turkish international Rüştü Reçber has signed a one-year contract with Fenerbahçe SK after FC Barcelona released the veteran goalkeeper on a free transfer.

Rüştü had been on loan at the Istanbul club for two seasons, having previously spent nine years with Fenerbahçe between 1994 and 2003. His solitary campaign at the Camp Nou brought only four Spanish league appearances, prompting Barcelona to send the 33-year-old back to Turkey. "It was a big thing for me to be at the club for their centenary as I have served Fenerbahçe for a long time now," Rüştü said.
