City rivals seek final say

The hype will be forgotten and the talking will stop at 20.45CET this evening when the whistle blows to begin the most monumental of all the 255 city derbies to have pitted together Internazionale FC and AC Milan.

Old Trafford final
The Nerazzurri, black and blues, and Rossoneri, red and blacks, are on level terms following last week's 0-0 first-leg draw, meaning a single goal in tonight's semi-final second leg could see either advance to a UEFA Champions League final against either Juventus FC or Real Madrid CF at Old Trafford on 28 May.

Long wait
Inter have not been in a European Champion Clubs' Cup final since losing 2-0 to AFC Ajax in 1972, while Milan's last final in 1995 also ended in defeat by the Amsterdam club, 1-0 in Vienna. Yet both are well versed in final success, Milan particularly so having triumphed on five occasions to Inter's two.

Qualifying scenario
If there is a goal during normal time tonight then the match cannot go to extra time, and Milan will advance if it is a score draw on the away-goals rule. If during extra time both teams score the same number of goals, then away goals count double. If no goals are scored during extra time, the winner will be decided by penalty kicks.
